Germany entered World War I on August 3 1914, when it declared war to France and sent its main armies through Belgium to capture Paris. Followed 4 years of bloody war which divided Europe in 2 camps. In 1918 Germany was defeated. Followed 20 years of quasi peace. In 1939 in Europe, World War II started beginning with Adolf Hitler’s German invasion of Poland and the Allied declaration of war on Germany.
