Middle Eastern Percussion: Intermediate

An intermediate course in techniques and rhythms primarily for Middle Eastern music, yet with plenty of applicable crossover into other musical forms. Bring your darbuka, smallish djembe, or frame drum. We will also delve into Balkan rhythms like 7/8, 11/8, and 22/8. This course provides practice and continued learning for students with some experience with percussion instruments (previous participation in the Beginners class or prior experience is recommended).
