The central project of the class will be a dovetailed floating box shelf made exclusively with hand tools. This woodworking class builds on Woodworking Hand Tools 1: 3D Puzzle. Students should already have knowledge and practice with measuring, sawing, chiseling and sanding. This class teaches the complexity of dovetailing, gluing and finishing an initial “furniture.” Students will also practice precision, accuracy and three-dimensional visualization. Class size is limited to 8 students. Early enrollment is advised.
