Watercolor is the perfect medium to bring outdoors. Learn how to paint loosely, and develop skills to show how light and shadow fall on natural forms. Paint on separate sheets of watercolor paper and in a watercolor sketchbook. For travel sketching, include various media with watercolor, such as permanent markers, watercolor pencils, gouache and graphite. Working on your lap, you can make this experience easy and fun. The first class will meet on campus and details about locations will be provided for the following sessions. Just bring a fold up chair that sits close to the ground, and a hat. The supply list will help you with preparing for this adventure. All levels are welcome, however some watercolor experience is recommended. Please view supply lists here.
The instructor will email an itinerary with locations prior to the start of class. The first class will meet at Kentfield campus and additional locations will include: Greenbrae waterfront (300 Drake's landing), downtown san Rafael (4th and A St), Falkirk Mansion in San Rafael, and Mill Valley Depot Cafe Book Store patio.
