This class, optimized for IOS devices, will help you learn how to use your smartphone more mindfully and effectively. We can’t live without our iPhones, but sometimes it feels like they lead us and are in control. In the first session, we will talk about basic housekeeping and decluttering, security, and alternatives to a digital detox. In the second session, we will focus on apps as tools to support our everyday activities and to reduce our CO2 footprint. We will look at some local sites that have Marin content, like Nextdoor, and use the Digital Health© five step process to examine individual apps and how they specify protocols for updates, security and data collection to better understand these tools.
